Radio de la Paix (Radio of the Peace) has been broadcasting on Ivorian territory since 1 March 2017. Radio de la Paix is run by the Félix Houphouët Boigny Foundation for Peace Research in Yamoussoukro. It took over from Radio ONUCI FM, the radio station of the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI). This initiative was part of the transfer of UNOCI's residual activities in order to consolidate the gains made in the field of communication. It was recommended by the UN Secretary-General in his special report on UNOCI on 31 March 2016 to the Security Council, which accepted it.
Radio de la Paix meets the professional requirements that guarantee editorial independence, exclusivity and impartiality in the treatment of information. The mission of Radio de la Paix is to promote social cohesion, reconciliation, gender and respect for human rights in the service of peace in Côte d'Ivoire.
Radio de la Paix welcomes listeners wishing to know its news and programmes and contribute to the dissemination of the culture of peace in Côte d'Ivoire, but also in French-speaking Africa.
