Ceremony of Presentation of New Year’s Greetings to the Secretary General

On Saturday, January 19, 2019, the staff of the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation presented as usual its New Year greetings to its first leader, Professor Jean-Noël LOUCOU. The Chief of Staff, Mr. Christophe Kadjané ASSOH, spoke on behalf of all his colleagues to present the best wishes for the year 2019 to the Secretary General of the institution and his family. In return, he congratulated all the staff for his dynamism and professionalism that he demonstrated throughout the Houphouët-Boigny Year. He did not fail to give an overview of the events planned for the year 2019, in this case the launch of the activities of the Panafrican School of Peace (EPAP).

Following his speech, Pr. Loucou has had to receive the courtesies from all his present collaborators. It was important to note the presence at this ceremony of Dr. Diénéba DOUMBIA, Director of the Department of Peace Research at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation.

Christmas tree 2018

The socio-cultural unit of the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for the Search for Peace (FHB Foundation) organized the traditional “Christmas Tree” for the children of the institution’s employees. This celebration took place in the presence of Prof. Jean-Noël LOUCOU, Secretary General of the FHB Foundation. This feast began with the address of the President of the socio-cultural unit, Mr. Ernest Koffi, who thanked the Secretary General of the FHB Foundation for all the gifts offered to children. Subsequently, the first person in charge of the institution gave wise advice to the children in order to always deserve the gifts that are offered to them. The celebration was very beautiful with the presentation of gifts, songs, poems and dance competitions. The innovation this year is the performance of the traditional-singer-artist named “Akpassoussè”.

Council of Ministers of December 18, 2018

On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, a Council of Ministers was held at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research (FHB Foundation) in Yamoussoukro, under the chairmanship of HE Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic. This was the last council of the year 2018. Their Excellencies Mr. Daniel KABLAN DUNCAN and Mr. Amadou GON COULIBALY, respectively Vice-President and Prime Minister, as well as all the members of the Ivorian government were present.

Centenary of the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Odonto-Stomatology of Dakar

The celebrations marking the Centenary of the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Odonto-Stomatology (OPCF) of the University Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD) of Dakar, which were sponsored by President Félix HouphouëtBoigny took place from December 1 to 7, 2018 The Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research (FHB Foundation) took part and was represented by a delegation led by Prof. Jean-Noël LOUCOU, Secretary General of the said institution. It should be noted that the FPMO is the result of the School of Medicine of French West Africa (AOF) created in 1918 where “the Father of the Ivorian Nation” came out major of its promotion in 1925. Effect, the The theme of these festivities was: “from the African School of Medicine to the OPCF”. This centenary coincides with the Houphouët-Boigny Year commemorating the 25th anniversary of the disappearance of the “Sage of Africa”.

Conference on Houphouetology

On December 7, 2018, the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for the Search for Peace (FHB Foundation) closed the Houphouët-Boigny Year by holding a conference on the theme: “Houphouetology or 33 years of existence of the history of Ivory Coast “. This lecture was animated by Mr. Rudolf EGNANKOU, director and passionate of the “Apostle of peace” in front of a large number of students and students of the city of Yamoussoukro. One could also note the presence of the administrative and religious authorities, like the Monseigneur Alexis TOUABLY, Bishop of Agboville and Administrator of the Diocese of Yamoussoukro.
