The Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for the Research of Peace launched the "Prix Félix Houphouët-Boigny de la Recherche" prize at an official ceremony held on March 23, 2017 in Abidjan Mr. Guillaume Houphouët-Boigny, guest of honor and Prof. Bonny Jean Sylvain, representing the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for the Search for Peace created this prize in order to distinguish master's theses and theses on the life, thought, action and work of President Félix Houphouët-Boigny. This prize will be awarded by an international jury chaired by Prof. Daniel Baha Bi Youzan, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny University. The winners will receive a grant of 500,000 CFA francs for the masters and one million CFA francs for the theses. The winning works will be published by the FHB Foundation (the FHB Editions).
In his speech, the Secretary General of the FHB Foundation reiterated his sincere thanks and deep gratitude to the President of the SEM. Alassane Ouattara, which has just granted the Houphouët-Boigny Foundation radio ONUCI FM, which was handed over to the State of Côte d'Ivoire by the United Nations. He also welcomed the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who approved the creation of the award and gave him sympathetic support. "She wisely advised us to limit ourselves first to the universities of Cote d'Ivoire, before considering an extension to the universities of Africa and why not the world," he said. Professor Jean-Noël Loucou also expressed his deep gratitude to the eminent members of the jury who are renowned academics who guarantee the impartiality, credibility and scientificity of the award.
The papers and theses submitted to this jury must have been supported between 1 January 2017 and 31 December 2017.
