On Saturday, August 11, 2018, the Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for the Search for Peace (FHB Foundation) contributed effectively to the establishment of a reconciliation platform at Kaloufla in the Nionos canton, in the Marahoué region where conflicts between young people and the authorities are frequent.
A conference on the theme of “peace and reconciliation” was moderated by Ernest Koffi and Lucien Tie BI, researchers at the Fondation FHB. It raised the awareness of leaders and youth leaders in 37 villages in the canton on non-violence and good citizenship. The speakers invited young people to respect the administrative and customary authorities, as well as the practice of dialogue and the peaceful management of conflicts. As for the customary chiefs, they have been asked to associate youth with important decisions for peace and sustainable development.
