On December 7, 2018, the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for the Search for Peace (FHB Foundation) closed the Houphouët-Boigny Year by holding a conference on the theme: “Houphouetology or 33 years of existence of the history of Ivory Coast “. This lecture was animated by Mr. Rudolf EGNANKOU, director and passionate of the “Apostle of peace” in front of a large number of students and students of the city of Yamoussoukro. One could also note the presence of the administrative and religious authorities, like the Monseigneur Alexis TOUABLY, Bishop of Agboville and Administrator of the Diocese of Yamoussoukro.
For more than an hour, Mr. Egnankou traced the major events of the governance of President Félix Houphouët-Boigny, namely from 1960 to 1993, with illustrations in sound and images. These events affect all areas: politics, economy, trade, infrastructure, culture, sport, etc. The purpose of this conference is to make known to the younger generation the important actions of the “Father of the Ivorian Nation” who have marked the history of his country.
