After the welcome address of the Rector of the Basilica, Fr. Franck ALLATIN, Bishop Alexis TOUABLY, Bishop of Agboville and Administrator of the Diocese of Yamoussoukro, delivered the homily of the day in which he noted the lack of loving people to build a stronger and more competitive Côte d’Ivoire. “Let us love one another and we will be a people standing,” he recommended. Finally, he invited every Ivorian but above all politicians to be peacemakers for a national fraternity that transcends political, regional and ethnic barriers.
Mr. Amoikon Edjampan TIÉMÉLÉ, spokesman for the Boigny family thanked the assembly for his presence. “I hope that this circumstance will lead everyone to peace” he addressed to all Ivorians.
