The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) organized, from 3 to 6 July 2017, its Regional Center for Education for a Culture of Peace (CRECP), based in Yamoussoukro (Republic of Côte d’Ivoire), a regional training workshop on the engagement of women leaders in the promotion of the culture of peace. This workshop was organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in collaboration with the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research.

General Assembly of the Ivorian Section of the Association of African Historians
On 5 and 6 May 2017, the Ivoirian section of the Association of African Historians (AHA) held its General Assembly at the headquarters of the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research in Yamoussoukro. This meeting brought together some fifty Ivorian historians. The AHA is a pan-African association founded in 1972 in Dakar, Senegal, whose aim is to bring together historian teachers and researchers from all over the continent. The points raised during the proceedings of this General Assembly were:
- The examination and adoption of the Statutes and Rules of Procedure of the Ivorian Section,
- The proposals for themes and the setting up of a local organizing committee for the 5th congress of the AHA planned for November 2017 in Côte d’Ivoire,
- And the election of the National Bureau of the Ivorian section.
