The shoulders of bent leaders for radius, diameter, chamfer, and hole callout display consistently, aligning with the appropriate line of dimension text.
The only way that I got the desiresd result is to select the shortest line first. I have had it work in the past but I just noticed the ability to create an incorrect dimension. If you can use the all around symbol with the weld symbol you should be able to use it with the chamfer.
A new default option lets the shoulders of bent leader dimensions meet the end of the dimension text line.

In the drawing, I created the chamfer dimension but as I was expecting the dimension to read .015 x 45 it actually read an odd number based on the order that I selected the lines relitive to the chamfer. Use rapid dimensioning to place evenly spaced dimensions.
To set the default option, click Options > Document Properties > Dimensions, and in Bent leaders select Extend to text.
At the very least there should be a clear prompt. I seem to be unable to get a chamfer dimension to show up in the drawing for a part that I have created. There should be some intervention by the system to prevent the creation of a bogus (highly technical term) callout. 3. Terms of Use

X display is the size of the X in a chamfer dimension with two numbers, such as 1 X 45° (Length X Angle), 45° X 1 (Angle X Length), 1 X 1 (Length X Length) or C1 (chamfers of 45°).

We have detected you are using a browser version older than Internet Explorer 7. You can set document defaults for chamfer dimension leader display, text display, and X display in Tools > Options > Document Properties > Dimensions > Chamfer. To vertically align the bent leader shoulder to the appropriate line of text, click Options > Document Properties > Dimensions, and select Apply updated rules. I would still call this a bug. This tool uses JavaScript and much of it will not work correctly without it enabled. So all of the drawings I reference use "-4 places" which is space intensive on a drawing and just annoys the crap outta me.
