Villains get a bad rap, but those of us who create stories know that the hero would be nothing without someone (or something) for them to match wits against. I love the idea of Ak'zaar! Take the genre of your story into account. So basically, she grew up with people being afraid of her and was bullied a lot, all over the place in fact.
