Hey every one ! I use a laptop, so I don't have the benefit of a numpad.
I've been playing around with the pad input settings for LilyPad. You need to see if the keyboard will work during the "boot up" process by accessing the CMOS / BIOS set up screen. Close.
I'm sure I can't be the only one who can't seem to get their hands on a controller.
I booted my pcsx2 up the first time, configured my controller, setted everything up, but now comes the weird part.

Delete lilypad.ini in Documents-->PCSX2-->inis (or revert to default options), open up PCSX2, and reconfigure Lilypad.

User account menu. I'm having a problem with my PCSX2, I just downloaded it yesterday and everything is working well, but I have a problem with the Keyboard, all buttons works except for the (Up, Down, Left, Right) and I donno why, I tried everything like rebooting, replug Keyboard, re-installing PCSX2, ... etc but still having the same problem Controller suddenly stopped working on PCSX2 . Not able to access joystick? My Mini-xBox360 Controller does work in the PS2 Bios but not in Games. I don't really know how to fix your issue, but do try these general fixes: Unplug the controller, restart your PC, plug in the controller and see if it works? For shooters if the above doesn't work too well I either use pad and play as it was ment to or set wsad as left analog, mouse as right analog(but set in non-inverted looks;p) and other keys depending on the actual game to resemble pc shooters, in some cases it works better but generally I'm used to shooting on pad as well and also mouse set as pad doesn't really work so well as mouse … VisiHow QnA. Its mine wasd for left stick, ijkl for right stick,arrow keys are dpad,8,4,5,6 are triangle,box,cross,circle ,1,3 l1, r1.

I'll start. This is where the weird part comes in, earlier when I tried to boot a game, I found out that the controller just... did not work.
Try using the Xpad 2.0 controller plugin, that is what i mostly use and the 360 controller works fine.
